Because LED shower heads run on electricity, you may be under the impression that they carry the danger of electric shocks. This is simply not true since the mechanism by which electricity is produced in these shower heads is completely safe - they either use the flow of water itself to power a turbine, or DC batteries. The electricity produced, in either case, has a rating so low that it won’t affect you even if the insulation on the internal wiring comes off!
However, we’ve also come across one or two LED shower fixtures that are powered by corded electrical supply, and in this case, you’d be wise to ensure that the wiring is well insulated and isn’t in contact with any water before you take a shower.
In any case, the threat of electric shock from LED shower heads is virtually non-existent. In fact, the biggest real danger with these bathroom fixtures is their temperature indicating LEDs malfunctioning: Imagine the situation you’d be in if the LED showed a blue (cool temperature) color while in fact the water was blazing hot! Make sure that the LED shower head you choose comes from a reputed manufacturer and has long lasting LEDs to minimize this risk.
